The finest stars and cars of the region roared into Wake County Speedway Friday night for an action packed evening of racing excitement. "Showtime" Sammy Pacitti from Angier roared to victory in the 60 lap feature for the Solid Rock Carriers Late Model division turning back all challengers.
The veteran wheelman held off Clay Jones of Goldsboro to score the popular victory. Cory Walker, Fuquay- Varina crossed the stripe in 3rd place followed by Brandon Hobbs and "Shotgun" Miller from Apex in 4th and 5th place.
Pacitti thanked his fans, friends and family from victory lane, his sponsors including 42/40 Used Cars, Finish Line Auto Body and Randy Renfrow Racecars after the thrilling Click It Or Ticket It event at the speedway.
National Qualifier night for both Bandoleros and INEX Legends drivers brought out the top stars to compete with Cameron Murray from Fuquay-Varina holding off Jacob Bradley from Chapel Hill to pick up the win. Ethan Johnson from Apex roared under the waving checkered flag in 3rd place with Kaleb Bradley, Chapel Hill and Blaise Brinkley from Sanford rounding out the top 5 finishers.
Will Bristle from Angier had his DSM Legend on a rail Friday evening and after 30 hard fought laps parked it in Capital City Chevy victory lane. Bristle thanked his family, friends, fans and hard working crew after the exciting victory.
Tyler Lester from Charlotte had a great run to cross the stripe in 2nd place followed by Emily Day, Garner with Billy Hall from Greenville and Tucker Jones, Smithfield, Va. rounding out the top 5 positions.
Justin Marsan from Raleigh won the Capps Motorsports Modified feature after a grinding accident off of turn 2 caused the event to be red flagged and complete after 22 laps. Scotty Potter came home in 2nd place followed by Dennis "The Dominator" Capps, Garner, Kevin Jefferys, Angier and Randy Ayers, Lucama in positions 3 through 5 when the red/ checkered flag fell.
T.J. Dillon, Fuquay Varina held off hard charger Chad Williams to win the 30 lap Hocutt's Auto Service 4 Cylinder feature.
Jason Stephenson, Archers Lodge ran a great race to come home in 3rd place followed by Jeremy Ottaway, Raleigh and Andrew Howe, Raleigh who rounded out the top 5 places.
Jeff "Action" Jackson won the 15 lap Bomber feature followed by Doctor Gonzo, car #4 ran 3rd followed by Jason Ivey and Ricky Grant.
Wake County Speedway roars back into action on August 9th when the PRA Touring Series 602 Modifieds plus a full card of racing action Mini-Stocks, Legends, Bandos, Bombers and Mod 4's will greet America's Favorite Bullring.
