The weather was hot and the action on the track was just as hot Southern National Motorsports Park hosted K&N Filters night at the races.
Mike Darne roared to victory over Rusty Daniels and Bradley McCaskill in the 1st event for the Late Model Stock Car division on Saturday night down in Lucama.
The nightcap event for the 2nd twin LMSC event saw Boo Boo Dalton from Liberty pick up his 1st win at SNMP after coming home in 2nd place on several occasions.
Bradley McCaskill brought his Renfrow Heating & Air hotrod home in 2nd place followed by Tim Allensworth who crossed the stripe in 3rd place.
Congrats to the INEX Legends winner "Country" Cam Murray who also picked up his 1st victory in the Legends division after a great battle with Emily Day from Garner who was followed by Tucker Jones in 3rd place who rounded out the top 3 positions.
The winner of the 35 lap Charger race, multi-time winner and track champion, Michael O'Brien turned back Carter Langley and Brandon Head to visit Solid Rock Carriers victory lane after a great race. O'Brien thanked his family, friends, fans and team from victory lane. Joseph Pittman has his Acura performing at peak performance and added another trip to victory lane Saturday night. Pittman turned back all challengers, winning his 2nd feature in less than a week at SNMP.
Lee Kozikowski finished in 2nd place followed by Michael Parrish in 3rd place when the checkered flag flew. Jacoby Pittman earlier in the day won the pedal car event to keep it all in the Pittman family.
The Flat Head Ford Racing Touring Series winner, 78 years young, Johnny Johnson had a great race long battle with car #6 Rodgers to win another race in his career, car #45 crossed the finish line in 3rd place. The Any Car division featured Rich Nering in victory lane after a race long battle with Andrew Warner followed by Brad Blizzard in 3rd place at the end of the 15 lap feature.
