The finest stars and cars of the tri-state region roared into your NASCAR Whelen All American Series Hometown track, Southern National Motorsports Park to kick off the 2019 racing season. A big thank you to the fans, drivers, car owners and staff a brief couple of showers couldn't dampen the opener.
Congrats to Chris Hales from Wilson who won the UCAR feature, Hales thanked his family, friends and team from Solid Rock Carriers victory lane. Austin Milam from Chatham, Va. ran 2nd followed by Aaron Champion, Selma with James Jacobs, LaGrange and Tim Peaden,Greenville rounded out the top 5 finishers. Mini Stock winner, Lee Kozikowski from Clayton held off Jesse Jones, Newport News, Va. to grab the win. Duane Walker crossed the stripe in 3rd place followed by Mike Parrish and Joseph Pittman from Lucama rounding out your top 5 positions.
The Solid Rock Carriers Late Model 40 lap twins where action packed with 17 cars signing in for the big show. South Boston, Va. veteran Stacy Puryear held off Adam Murray from Zebulon to visit victory lane. Tim Allensworth, Wallace came home in 3rd place followed by Alex Fleming from Garner and Louis White, Washington in 4th and 5th when the checkered flag flew.
The nightcap was won by Archers Lodge speedster Bradley McCaskill who put on a driving display coming through the field. Boo Boo Dalton, Liberty roared under the stripe in 2nd place followed by Stacy Puryear, Rusty Daniels and Alex Fleming in 3rd through 5th place at the finish.
The Charger division winner, Michael O'Brien from Dudley held off Carter Langley and Dylan Newsome to visit victory lane. Wayne Goss, Goldsboro and Parker Fraizer, Raleigh rounded out your top 5 positions.
The Legends feature winner, Chase Scott held off Landen Lewis, Cameron Murray, Aaron Crumpler and Ryan Rackley.
Southern National Motorsports next big show, May 11th when the "Mom's The Bomb 215" roars into Lucama. LMSC, Chargers, Mini Stock, Legend, Bando, UCAR and Any Car will make for a fun filled evening at your NASCAR Hometown Track.
