The finest stars and cars roared into Wake County Speedway Friday night as the 2018 racing season continues at "America's Favorite Bullring". Car counts were down but the action was hot and heavy at the 1/4 mile speed plant. The Bandolero feature winner, Cameron Murray from Raleigh held off Ethan Johnson from Fuquay-Varina and Jacob O'Neal, Raleigh to visit Capital Chevy victory lane.The INEX 600 Racing Legend winner was Zack Brown from Holly Spring who held off Raleigh's Emily Day, Mason Ford, Holly Spring and Jason Austin to visit victory lane for the 2nd time this year after setting quick time earlier in the evening.
Twin races for the Solid Rock Carriers Late Model stars found Pelham speedster Eric Winslow winning the 1st feature over Holly Spring driver Stephen Ford, "Showtime" Sammy Pacitti from Angier with Brandon Hobbs and Cory Walker in his Mutual of Omaha Insurance hotrod rounding out the top 5 positions. The 2nd feature winner was Holly Spring wheelman Zackary Marks in his Schulz Iron Works machine. Angier's Sammy Pacitti roared under the flag in 2nd place, Brandon Hobb, Cory Walker, and Eric Winslow were your top 5 finishers. Longest tow award goes to Chris Burns who came up from the beach only to suffer front end damage after a wild night at the bullring. The ever popular Bombers closed out an exciting night of action with Steven Best from Raleigh grabbing the exciting win!
Wake County Speedway runs again this coming Friday night, September 14th with a full card of action plus the Eastern Midget Touring Series. 2109 Simpkins Road, Raleigh,N.C..
