Will Roland from Sanford won the wild 60 lap Metal Depot Late Model feature Friday night at Wake County Speedway. Numerous lead changes throughout the events keep fan's on the edge of their seats from Eric Winslow of Pelham setting fast time to trip #2 to the Capital City victory lane for Roland and his Turn Key Design Hot Rod. Eric Winslow crossed under the stripe in second place in his Solid Rock Carriers machine followed by Willow Spring speedster Stephen Ford in 3rd when the checkered flag flew. Robert Arch from Clayton and "Showtime" Sammy Pacitti, Willow Spring rounded out the top 5 positions. Twin races for the Bandolero Division found Josh Speas in victory lane for race #1 over Jacob Bradley from RedHead Racing out of Chapel Hill, Jacob O'Neal, Raleigh with Cam Murray and Kaleb Bradley. Race #2 for the Bando stars and cars had Speas, Bradley and O'Neal in the top 3 positions with Austin Baker and Kaleb Bradley rounding out the top 5 positions. The INEX Legends roared into the 1/4 mile speedplant and Dillon Spain parked his DSM Sales and Rental Legend in victory lane. Great race long battle for 2nd with Jason Austin from Raleigh and Zack Brown, Holly Spring who crossed the stripe in 3rd place. Chris Byerly from Trinity,NC and Willow Spring's Mason Ford rounded out the top 5 places when the checkered flag fell. The Hocutt's Automotive Service Four Cylinder feature winner, Counsilman Don Frantz from Cary parked his Frantz Automotive Ford Mustang in victory lane for the 1st time in 2018. Frantz thanked his fans, family and crew chief/ brother Dan from victory lane. T.J. Dillon in his Iron Works Ford came home in 2nd place with Justin Fussell from Sanford, Jeremy Ottaway from Raleigh and Jason Adams from Zebulon rounding out the top 5 positions. The Capps Motorsports Modified Four Cylinder winner, Kevin Jefferys from Angier roared to victory lane for his win ,his 2nd win in a row in the feature. Jefferys and the Simpkins Garage Team have the Iron Works Ford running well, Michael Cooper brought his PreCast Terrazo in 2nd place with multi time track champ, Dennis Capps from Garner came home in 3rd place follow by Austin Wilder in 4th place in the A& M Service Plumbing followed by "Big Daddy" Tim Wilder in 5th place. The Bomber winner, Steven Best drove a great race in his Capital City Camero to grab another "W" on the year.
