Wednesday, May 13, 2009

A trio of two-race winning streaks will be on the line this Saturday, May 16, as Langley Speedway continues its 2009 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series campaign with Little G.I. Joe's Armed Forces Night.

This weekend's lineup includes: Crossroads Fuel Service Late Model Stock Cars (100 laps); Atlantic Power Sweeping Super Streets (50 laps); Casey Cycle City INEX Legends (25 laps); EZ Auto of Newport News UCARs (25 laps); and, Standard Welding Pro 6s (30 laps).

Gates open at 1 p.m. with afternoon practice rounds running from 2 'til 4. A drivers meeting is scheduled for 4:15, followed by qualifying at 4:30. Pre-race activities begin at 6:55 and the Pro Sixers kick off the evening's feature slate shortly after 7.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, 6-12. "Little Race Fans" (under 6) are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Senior citizens (60+, with ID) receive a $2 discount off the regular adult ticket price. "Family Packs," which include two adult and two children's tickets, are $25 - a savings of $5.

For Saturday's Armed Forces Night program, tickets are just $5 for military personnel (active-duty or retired, with ID). Military members in uniform are admitted free of charge.
