ASA SAT Dillon Motor Speedway --
Jason Hogan Event Preview:

When a guy like Jason Hogan has been racing super late models for as long as he’s been racing, going to a place he’s never seen is a rarity. A podium finish at Lanier just two weeks ago propelled the Georgia driver to the top spot just three races into the 2009 championship.

-What’s it going to be like to actually go to a track you’ve never seen or raced?
“To be honest with you I don’t remember the last time I’ve been to a track I’ve never seen. I hate running the same places all the time so this should be something fun and new.”
-You moved into the points lead after Lanier, does that mean more pressure each week to perform?
“Well unless you’re new to racing, this is a performance based industry so there is pressure to perform every time you’re in that car. Being the points leader doesn’t mean a whole lot at this point of the season anyways. This isn’t the time of year they hand out prize money; hopefully you’ll be asking me this same question in November at Concord because then I’ll have a whole new answer.”
-By now you can start to tell who plans on running and contending for the series championship; who do you think will be your biggest competition?
“I would have to say Jeff Choquette for sure but there are quite a few young guys that have looked good so far too. Choquette has the experience and knows what it takes to win a championship because he’s done it a few years back in ASA Late Models. It should be a pretty good battle especially the way they have “the chase” style format this year.
