Pahud Gearing Up For 2ND Late Model Start Saturday
Dec 4, 2008 - updated Dec 4th, 2008 1:47pm

Harrisburg, N.C. --

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:Dec. 3, 2008

INEX legends car champion Christian PaHud is ready to make his second start in a NASCAR limited late model stock car this Saturday at Kenly, North Carolina’s Southern National Raceway Park. PaHud will drive an Orion Motorsports No. 44 in the 125-lap affair, which is a part of the track’s annual Thanksgiving Classic. The race was originally scheduled for last weekend but was moved to Dec. 5 and 6 due to adverse weather.

PaHud, 15, made his stock car debut on Nov. 1 at Tri-County (N.C.) Motor Speedway where he finished an impressive fourth in the 150-lap limited late model feature. Christian will drive a different Orion entry this time, a No. 44 that has been freshened for the event.

“The car has a new front and rear clip on it, and we should be ready to go this weekend,” Christian began. “We’re hoping to do as good as we did (at Tri-County); hopefully we can win it.”

The car PaHud will race this weekend at Kenly will be the mount he plans to compete with in 2009.

“My family bought the car from Ed Cox (Orion owner), and we’re going to run it out of his shop next season. We’re looking forward to running the car. This weekend will be a good start for us with it. We’ll get to run it in a big race at Kenly and that’ll give us a head start on next year,” Christian said.

The Orion No. 44 already had a good ’08 season, winning a limited late model feature at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway and having numerous top-five runs at both Hickory and Tri-County with different drivers behind the wheel.

Saturday will mark PaHud’s first time competing on the four-tenths mile Southern National oval.

Christian PaHud is one of the top legends car racers in the South who is now making a name for himself in NASCAR limited late models. He and his family moved from Dayton, Ohio, to the greater Charlotte area prior to the 2007 racing season and he immediately began winning races in the legends cars, including the prestigious Summer Shootout semi-pro legends car championship in 2007. He has a handful of oval and road course legends car races planned this winter before moving to limited late models full time in 2009.

PaHud is a member of the Team Full Throttle NASCAR Driver Development Program and is represented by Driver Development Services, Inc., Charlotte, N.C. His marketing partners are Kyle Beattie Racing, RPM Race Cars, and C&S Auto.

Team Full Throttle is a Mooresville, N.C., based driver development program that specializes in all areas of personal and professional development, including leadership, teamwork, and communications as well as marketing, promotion, and on-track driving skills. TFT currently comprises over 30 racers who reside and race in all regions of the country.
