Asheboro’s Destry Gardner Grabs Second Consecutive Win;

August 8-9, 2008

Asheboro’s Destry Gardner captured his second consecutive Late Model Super Truck win of the season. Cole Miktuk of Rock Hill, SC, Jimmy Wallace of Lexington, Nathan Bess of Lexington and Travis Mosley of Richburg, Sc rounded out the top five finishers.

In the second Late Model Super Truck event Jimmy Wallace of Lexington captured his second consecutive win of the season. Mosley, Miktuk, Gardner and Buddy Allred of Randleman rounded out the top five finishers.

In the Nascar Late Model Stock event Mack Little III took home his second win of the season. Randy Burnett of Concord, Randy Benson of Rockingham, Corey Strickland of Dunn and Robert Tyler of Greensboro rounded out the top five finishers.

In the Limited Late Model event Josh Lowder of Archdale took home the win. Brent Weaver of Clemmons, Johnny Henderson of Asheboro, Justin Newlin of Salisbury and Kevin Jones of Greensboro rounded out the top five finishers.

In the Street Stock event Jesse Garner of Greensboro captured his first career win. Randy Dunn of Carthage, Ricky Sweatt of Asheboro, Tommy Raino of Thomasville and John Chatman III of Sophia rounded out the top five finishers. In the U-Car event Keith Owens of Lexington captured his first win of the season. Zack Moore of Troy, James Jones of Trinity, Cecil Cooper of Asheboro and Allen Gauldin of Asheboro rounded out the top five finishers.

In the Legends event Steven Ross of Concord captured the win. Chad Hackenbracht, Brandon McKenzie of Asheboro, Daniel Hemric and Breckon Snow rounded out the top five finishers. In the Cab Car event Gary Dillard of Lexington took home the win. Zack Bralley of Asheboro and Charles McDaniels of Asheboro rounded out the top three finishers.

In the Mini Stock event Pnut Vernon of Walkertown captured the win. Bobby Smith Jr of Lexington and Johnathon Hobbs of Cameron rounded out the top three finishers. In the Super Mini Truck event Glenn Chriscoe Jr of Randleman took home the win. Carl Graves of Asheboro, Jerry Chriscoe of Randleman, Wade Turner of Asheboro and Bradley Gibby of Lexington rounded out the top five finishers.

Coming up next Friday will be the Late Model Super Trucks, Street Stocks, Legends & U-Car. On Saturday the NASCAR Late Model Stocks take to the asphalt for 75 laps of action. Also on hand will be the Limited Late Models, Mini Stock, Cab Cars and Custom Steel Fabricators Super Mini Trucks. Grandstands open at 6pm and the racing action gets underway at 8pm.
