Kenly, NC --
Southern National Raceway Park officials announce today that Kyle Hall driver of the # 69 Late Model division passed post race inspection on Tuesday August 5, 2008.
The post race inspection and tear down along with the subsequent inspection of internal engine components by an objective third person representative has determined that the # 69 car of Kyle Hall is completely LEGAL within the guidelines of the Southern National Speedway crate engine program. While this news comes as no surprise to team owner David Hall of Leonardtown Md., it likely will mean that the balance of the LMSC field at Southern National will have to redouble their efforts to remain competitive with this young driver.
A quote from track owner Del Richards, "while I dislike the fact that this tear down occurred on my first Saturday night event, what better time to show the participants and fans alike that this is a new era at Southern National Speedway and we will work to insure that the rules are enforced equitably without any bias whatsoever". Del went on to say that this issue is resolved and Kyle and his team are welcome at Southern National Speedway.
The 69 team and crew are officially awarded the first place position after post race inspection, and points awarded to Kyle Hall for the efforts on Saturday August 2, 2008.
