York Ends Benson's Victory Lane Domination

“The Reidsville Rocket” Ends “Rockin Randy’s” Victory Lane Domination After Leading 91 Laps of the 100 Lap Nascar Late Model Stock Feature At Caraway Speedway
Two Time Track Champion Jason York, known by his many fans as “The Reidsville Rocket” rolled into his home track and blasted into victory lane. His rocket was powered by a Clark Race Engine and also posted the fastest time capturing the Budweiser Pole Award. He has two starts and two wins this season and will be back on July 2nd for the Lewis & Daggett Rusty Harpe Memorial.
Kernersville’s Mack Little, “Spudman”, lead the first nine laps and brought home second. Rockingham’s Randy Benson started in 5th and managed to bring home a third place finish. Troy’s Tommy Lemons Jr and Siler City’s Stephen Grimes rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 20 Lap Faster Pastor U-Car event Brady Lowery of Calvary Baptist Church of Lexington took home the win. Jeffery Maness of Mountain of Faith Christian brought home second. Mark Mosley of West Fairfield Baptist and Billy Myers of Archdale Assembly of God finished 3rd & 4th respectively. Danny Jarrell of To God Be The Glory wrecked in the heat race and was unable to start the feature.
In the 30 Lap Limited Late Model event Kevin Jones of Greensboro captured his first win of the season. Tony Black of Lexington, Justin Newlin of Siler City, Johnny Henderson of Asheboro and Owen Gray of Oak Ridge rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 15 Lap Mini Stock event Michael Tucker of Thomasville took home the win. Jacob Creed of Ararat, Bobby Smith Jr of Lexington, Pnut Vernon of Walkertown and Ronnie Kinney of Lexington rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 15 Lap Super Mini Truck event Glenn Chriscoe Jr of Randleman captured the win. Scottie York of Asheboro, Ron Thayer of Troy, Terry Owens of Climax and Jerry Chriscoe of Randleman rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 12 Lap Cab Car event Zack Bralley of Asheboro captured the win. Greg Cook of Denton, Gary Dillard of Lexington and Marti Smith of Lexington rounded out the field.
Coming up next weekend will be Fun Friday featuring Twin 35 Lap Late Model Super Trucks, Street Stocks, Legends and U-Cars.
On Saturday USG Night will feature a 75 Lap Nascar Late Model Stock event. Also on hand will be Sportsman, Mini Stocks, Custom Steel Fabricators Super Mini Trucks, Cab Cars and Thunder Roadsters. Grandstands open at 6pm and the racing action gets under way at 8pm. Directions: Take US 220 Bypass to the Spero Road Exit and Follow the signs.
