NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Langley Speedway

Modifieds and Super Streets top the bill this Saturday, June 7, as Langley Speedway plays host to Law Enforcement Night presented by Langley Federal Credit Union and Craftsman. It's the eighth event on the track's 2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series calendar.

Saturday's lineup includes: B&C Seafood Modifieds (50 laps); Bass Pro Shops Super Streets (50 laps); Med Express Urgent Care Super Trucks (25 laps); E-Z Auto of Newport News UCARs (25 laps); and, Rhonnda Claiborne, Realtor HRKC Pro Winged Champ Karts (20 laps).

Gates open at 1 p.m. Afternoon practice rounds run from 2 'til 4. A drivers meeting is slated for 4:15, followed by time trials at 4:30. Pre-race activities, highlighted by a parade lap of law enforcement vehicles, get under way at 6:45. The evening's feature program gets rolling at 7 with the Champ Karts in the leadoff position.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, 6-12. "Little Race Fans" (under 6) are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Military members in uniform are also admitted free. Military members in civvies (active-duty or retired, with ID) and senior citizens (60+, with ID) receive a $2 discount off the regular adult ticket price. "Family Packs," which include two adult and two children's tickets, are $25 - a savings of $5.
