FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The list of sponsors for the 2nd Annual “Rusty Harpe Memorial 200” is beginning to take shape with the return of many of the sponsors who helped make the first event such a success in 2007.
Heading the list of returning sponsors are Hank Thomas Performance and SUNOCO Race Fuels. Hank Thomas Performance is the NC / SC Distributor for SUNOCO Race Fuels, the “Official Fuel of NASCAR” and a long time supporter of short track racing. HTP / SUNOCO will award a $100.00 Product Certificate to each of the 32 starters in the July 2nd event.
Kevin Powell’s “Foothill Ford” returns as the sponsor of Lap “71” of the event. Foothill Ford will award $1,000.00 to the leader of that lap. 71 was the number displayed on Rusty’s Late Model Stock car.
Machine and Welding and Miller Welders will award a MillerMatic 110 to a driver chosen in a random drawing from drivers at the event.
Kerry Lawrence will award a $600.00 Product Certificate to the driver finishing 10th in the race. That certificate can be used towards the purchase of a set of COMFAB headers and exhaust system.
Randy LaJoie from LaJoie Racing Seats will award Product Certificates for $125.00 each to the drivers finishing 7th and 11th in this prestigious event.
Other sponsors coming on board this year are MediaFit, a Marketing Firm from Lewisville, NC and Mends Image, the designer of Harpe Motorsports new web-site, www.harpemotorsports.com. Visit the site often for updates and additions to the sponsor list for the race and information on the event.
Event and Lap sponsorships are also available by going to the Caraway Speedway website, www.carawayspeedway.com.
“I want to thank each of the sponsors on board for this race. It means so much to me and my family to have everyone support “Rusty’s Race”, said Rusty’s Dad, Chip Harpe. “We want to grow this into the premier mid-season event in the South for Late Model Stock Cars. This event is our way to remember Rusty and the spirit and determination he displayed during his career. We were honored to have so many great teams and drivers participating last year and we want to make the race bigger and better in years to come”, Harpe said.
The 2nd Annual “Rusty Harpe Memorial 200” is set for 8:00 PM on July 2nd at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, NC.
