Smithfield, Virginia. --

For Immediate Release:October 4, 2007

Brent Robinson was officially crowned the 2007 Carolina Clash Rookie of the Year on September 29th at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, NC. The season concluded with Brent posting 8 top 10s and 2 top 5s in 19 starts at tracks across the states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Along with winning the Rookie of the Year title Brent also claimed 5th place in the championship standings.

“It feels really great to win this Rookie of the Year title. We set out this year with one goal in mind and to be able to accomplish it feels awesome. There were definitely some ups and downs this season but when you can come away with a title it makes the whole season a success. I would also like to thank John Terry of Terry Heating and A/C because following the whole Carolina Clash tour this season would not have even been possible without his support. Also, George Coleman of CAMS Race Engines really got our engine program turned around this year, and finally my parents because obviously I wouldn’t be racing at all without all of their help,” stated Brent Robinson via telephone from the race shop in Smithfield, VA.

"Th whole team performed almost flawlessly, even though they were at tracks theay had never seen before with a 19 year old rookie. The whole team was a joy to be associated with. It`s a testamant to their committment to excellence to know that a kid going for a mechanical engineering degree can balance a racing career with that effort. The whole bunch is just a joy to be around." said Carolina Clash announcer Duane Goins of Lake Norman NC.

This weekend The BRI racing team will compete in a pair of events in North Carolina. The first event is an unsanctioned $4,000 to win show on October 5 at Dublin Speedway in Dublin, NC. The Following night the team will travel to nearby Fayetteville Motor Speedway for a pair of 25 lap races paying $2,500 to win each. The following Wednesday, October 10, the team will make their first trip to The Dirt Track at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, NC for a World of Outlaws event paying $10,000 to the winner.

More information on these events can be found at www.dublinspeedway.com , www.fayettevillemotorspeedway.net , or www.worldofoutlaws.com/latemodel/ . Any information about the BRI racing team can be found at the website www.brentrobinsonracing.com or by contacting Brent at drtracn3@aol.com.

Brent Robinson would like to thank the following sponsors and crew for their continued support: Terry Heating and Air Conditioning, CAMS Race Engines, Stuckey Enterprises, Granny and Papa, Steeltech Industrial Fabrication, American Racer Tires, Ringers Gloves, Rocket Chassis, Cometic Gaskets, Bernheisel Race Components, Bell Racing, Racecom, VP Racing Fuels, Dean Robinson, Elaine Robinson, Travis Gum, Shawn Hittle, Jigger Sirois, and George Coleman. The Brent Robinson Inc. race team continues to seek sponsors for the 2007 season. To explore the possibilities call Dean Robinson at (757) 880 0712 or email drtracn3@aol.com.
