Keeton Hanks, No. 90 Chevrolet Preview:Snowflake 100
Sixteen year old Keeton Hanks, of Auburn, KY, has been racing since he was five years old. Starting in local ATV events led to being the 2001 ATV 70cc National Champion. Also in 2001, he made the leap from dirt to asphalt and from ATVs to mini-cup cars. Success didn’t take long, in 12 races; he gathered 5 wins and set the track record at Beech Bend Raceway. Hanks made another large step in 2002, making the switch from mini-cup cars to legends cars. In 2003, he continued on to win a track championship and rack 30 wins up in 50 legends races at several tracks. In 2004, Hanks would be moved up to the pro legends class and went on to pickup 27 wins and the National Pro Asphalt Points Championship in 49 legends races. Keeton Hanks, chasing his dream of being a NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion, would make a large step towards reaching his dream in 2005. Hanks competed in the full ASA Late Model Series schedule for rookie of the year, posting many good race finishes and would end up twelfth in the final point’s standings.

“I am looking forward to my first Snowflake appearance. It will also be my first race at Five Flags Speedway and will conclude the 2005 season for me. It’s a good race to end the season with and get us prepared for 2006, which I’m looking very much forward to. I am very happy with the way testing went, I think we were able to get some good speed out of the race car and it handled really good. I have set some high goals for the race weekend, I want to set fast time and win the race. It would be huge to be able to to achieve those goals for me.”
