American Commercial Lines 200 - Race Preview, Driver Quotes and Stats

Todd Bodine No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota Tundra

CONCORD, NC (March 12, 2007) – Last March, Todd Bodine left California Speedway without a sponsor on the hood of the #30 Toyota Tundra. By the time he put his Tundra on track in Atlanta, a Virginia-based flooring retailer, Lumber Liquidators, had staked its claim as primary sponsor of Bodine’s truck. Bodine gave Lumber Liquidators a very grand entrance into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. With their logo freshly applied to his #30 Tundra, Bodine earned his first Truck Series Bud Pole Award, and his first Atlanta Motor Speedway victory. To properly ice the cake, Bodine took the rookie sponsor all the way to the head table in Orlando as the 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champions.

“Wow. What can you say about Atlanta? That was a huge race for the Lumber Liquidators Tundra. We earned a pole, which isn't something we concentrate on in practice as a rule, but we did it - my first ever Truck Series Bud Pole Award. Then, we go on to win the race. It was our first race out for Lumber Liquidators - I didn't even have a fire suit made yet,” said Bodine. “Tom Sullivan, the founder of Lumber Liquidators says he might have brought some 'luck of the Irish' to the table, I don't know, but it was definitely the kick-off to a storybook season for all of us. Rookie sponsor, they get a pole, a win, and we all end up with a championship. I'm very happy to head back to Atlanta with Lumber Liquidators on the hood of the #30 Tundra, to say the least.”

In Bodine’s last trip to Atlanta, in November, he had the weight of a Truck Series championship on his shoulders. This weekend, the focus will be on racing, according to crew chief Mike Hillman Jr.

“Atlanta is definitely a special race track for our team. There are a lot of things that go into making a successful race team, and solid sponsorship is near the top of the list. When Lumber Liquidators came on board, it was a big piece of the puzzle we needed for our championship run,” said Hillman Jr. “When we roll into Atlanta this weekend, it will be different from in the fall. We’re coming to Atlanta for another win.”

To promote the one-year anniversary of Lumber Liquidators signing on with the #30 Germain Racing team, Bodine and the #30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota Tundra will make an appearance at the Lumber Liquidators store in Conyers, Ga. The truck will be available from noon through 6:00 p.m., while Bodine will meet with Lumber Liquidators employees, customers and race fans from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

In addition to the store appearance Thursday afternoon, Bodine will be seen throughout Atlanta on FOX 5’s “Good Day Atlanta” morning television program. He’ll be live, in studio, just before 8:00 a.m.

Bodine is the reigning NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion and currently sits fifth in the series points standings.

About Germain Racing: Germain Racing (then Germain-Arnold Racing) debuted in the NCTS at Richmond in 2004. The upstart team, owned by the Germain brothers Bob, Steve and Rick of Germain Motor Company, was first turned down by TOYOTA when they requested to be one of their NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams. The Germain’s, who own four Toyota dealerships, saw the value in the Truck Series program and wanted to support Toyota in their racing efforts. When they finally convinced TOYOTA to let them start a TUNDRA race team, they told Toyota they’d get the manufacturer its first Truck Series championship. Germain Racing came out of the box with 2 wins in its first year of operation, five wins in its first full season of operation and a championship in its second. Germain’s own automotive dealerships in Ohio, Florida, Arkansas and Arizona. For more information on Germain Motor Company visit www.germain.com, for Germain Racing, visit www.germainracing.com.

About Lumber Liquidators: Lumber Liquidators, headquartered in Toano, Virginia, is the largest direct retailer of high-quality hardwood flooring in the United States. With more than 80 locations nationwide, Lumber Liquidators has product distribution and depth that is unsurpassed in the hardwood flooring industry. The Lumber Liquidators inventory includes a wide variety of pre-finished and unfinished flooring, including Bellawood Pre-Finished Hardwood Flooring with a 50 year warranty. · Atlanta is home of first Bud Pole for Bodine, and first race with Lumber Liquidators sponsorship “Wow. What can you say about Atlanta? That was a huge race for the Lumber Liquidators Tundra. · Get Your Tickets. Bodine will defend his Pro win in the Toyota Pro-Celebrity Race, the day before the Grand Prix of Long Beach: Quick thoughts from Bodine on racing the zippy Toyota Scion tCs in the 33rd annual Pro-Celeb feature…“The cars are really cool to drive, and the Grand Prix of Long Beach is just a great time. You meet a lot of interesting people, a lot of actors and actresses, celebrities - and it's all done well which is typical Toyota fashion. Long Beach is a great course. I love road racing. The whole course is really challenging. It's really just a fun race.”

· In between races…Bodine had a birthday and celebrated by taking in some music in Vegas.

· Basketball? What? Bodine admits he is not a big basketball fan, but has decided he wants Georgetown to win it all, “for his buddy Brendan Gaughan.” Final 4 picks…KS, FL, Ohio State, Georgetown

· Atlanta Notes: In 30 career starts at Atlanta, Bodine has led laps and earned top-five finishes in all three of NASCAR’s top series, including 143 laps led. Last spring, he started from the pole, led 38 laps and took his first NASCAR career victory at Atlanta. However, in the fall he finished two laps down, the only two laps he hasn’t finished in the Truck Series at Atlanta.
