Law Enforcement Appreciation Night Update:

(July 22)

With inclement weather predicted to make an appearance in the area later in the day, Langley Speedway made an early call to pull the plug on Saturday evening’s NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series program.
Law Enforcement Appreciation Night will be rescheduled as soon as the track can arrange a suitable makeup date with the local police departments that were to have participated in Saturday’s activities.

Five feature events, topped by a 100-lapper for the Crossroads Fuel Service/Sunoco Dealers Late Models, are planned for next Saturday, July 29, as Langley Speedway resumes its 2006 campaign with USG Night at the Races.
In addition to the big Late Model race, the July 29 lineup includes: Super 8 Motels/Dunkum’s Machine Shop Grand Stocks (40 laps); Verizon Super Trucks (25 laps); E-Z Auto Rental UCARs (25 laps); and, the Pro 6 Series (25 laps).
Also, the Virginia Chevy Lovers will present a vehicle display and take part in a parade lap.
Gates open at 12 noon and practice gets under way at 1:30 p.m. Qualifying starts at 4. Pre-race festivities, highlighted by the Pro 6 race, begin at 6:30. The rest of the evening’s feature card follows at 7.
Tickets are $10 for adults ($8 for active-duty or retired military members with ID) and $5 for children, 6-12. “Little Race Fans” (under 6) are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Also, military members in uniform are admitted free. “Family Packs,” which include two adult and two children’s tickets, are $25 — a savings of $5. Skybox seats are $30 each.
