NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Langley Speedway Thursday, April 6, 2006

A mammoth, eight-race feature slate is planned for this Saturday, April 8, as Langley Speedway kicks off its 2006 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series season with Wolftrap Motorsports Night.

The BBFlabradors.com Wolf Trucks will get the evening under way with a 20-lapper at 6:30 p.m.
Gates open at 12 noon and practice gets under way at 1:30 p.m. Qualifying starts at 4 and pre-race activities, including the Wolf Truck event, begin at 6:30, followed by the rest of the evening’s feature card.

Defending Grand Stock champ Dean Shiflett of Currituck, N.C., was the “man on the move” last Saturday, April 1, as the track hosted the last of its all-day preseason practice sessions.
Shiflett turned in a practice lap at 18.190 seconds (78.175 mph). That’s nearly three-tenths of a second faster than the division qualifying record (18.461 seconds, 77.027 mph), which Shiflett set in June of last year.
