Darne Wins Twins On Summertime Showtime 305 Night At Southern National Motorsports Park

Mike Darne and MDR are a threat to win everytime they pull through the backgate at any speedway on the east coast. Last night at Southern National Motorsports Park they double downed and won both races for the Solid Rock Carriers Late Model division at your Nascar Hometown Track. Darne streaked to victory in race #1, starting the 2nd feature in the back, Darne roared through the field to grab win #2 over hard chargers Terry Dease from Oxford and Melvin Langley who crossed under the flag with 2nd and 3rd place finishes. Darne thanked his, family, fans, sponsors and team from victory lane.
James Stroud from Bailey had his Medlin Buick GMC Mazda truck in victory lane after the Mini Sock feature, holding off Raleigh's Mike Stodder and his new Accent Imaging Mustang with Brandon Allen from Goldsboro crossing the stripe in 3rd place with his Ford Probe. The "Atta Boy" award this race goes to Matthew Gurganus on picking up his 1st win at SNMP in the Bandolero division.
Everybody in this division has really stepped up their game with Jacob O'Neal from Raleigh crossing the stripe in 2nd place in his Zaxby's hotrod with Cameron Murray in his Camco Landscaping Bando in The Legends Feature winner was Emily Day from Garner, the young speedster held off Zebulon's Eric Courtney and Burlington's Kade Lambert for the trip to victory lane.
The Any Car Division winner was Chris Hales from Wilson who took down his 4th win of the season in the class. Hales thanked his family, friends and fans for the continued support! Mike Parrish and James Jacobs rounded out the top 3 finishers.
The Chargers division feature was a hotly contested affair and when the checkered flag fell, Jonathan Kornegay visited victory lane in his Raynor Farms rocketship holding off fastest qualifier Brian Obiedzenski and Michael O'Brien from Dudley.
The Touring Series Southern Ground Pounders with race car's from the 60's ,70's and 80's alway's put on a great show and these drivers tow from the mid-atlantic region to run wide open.
Mack Tatum from Va. won the Modified portion in his Mustang with Ronnie Hobbs winning the Sportsman class in his Ford.
