Winslow Tames The Bullring, Wins At Wake County Speedway

The finest stars and cars of the Carolina's and Virginia roared into Wake County Speedway Friday night for an evening of up close , in your face auto racing excitement. Danville, Virginia speedster Eric Winslow roared through the field to win the 60 lap LMSC feature. Pole sitter, "Showtime" Sammy Pacitti from Angier came home in 2nd place, with Zach Marks, Angier crossing under the stripe with a hard fought 3rd place finish. Cory Walker, Fuquay-Varina and Willow Spring driver Stephen Ford ran 4th and 5th on the evening. Winslow thanked his family, team, fans and sponsor's after winning the action packed event that featured battles throughout, numerous lead changes, good old fashioned racing a real barnburner.. The Legends feature winner, Jason Austin turned back Zach Brown from Raleigh to visit victory lane. Emily Day had another great run, crossing the stripe in third place with Mason Ford, Willow Spring and Chris Byerly rounding out the top five.
The Modified Four Cylinder division made a strong return to "America's Favorite Bullring" and Michael Cooper from Raleigh turned back Dennis "The Dominator" Capps to make a return trip to victory. Thank you to Capps Motorsports the division continues to grow and get stronger. "Big Daddy" Tim Wilder ran 3rd on the night followed by Darrell Haynie from Raleigh with Mark Hood from Loop Road Auto Parts rounding out the top 5 finishers.The Bandoleros feature was won by Cameron Murray who held off Josh Speas for the victory with Austin Baker rounding out the top 3. Congrats to Steven Best, the Bomber winner picked up a $100 bonus from Mojo's Grill in Garner for being a 1st time Bomber winner. T.J. Dillon is now 2 for 2, winning the Four Cylinder race over Raleigh's Jeremy Ottaway and Cary's Don Frantz.
The JKK Helmet Foundation bring a bike helmet to the County was a huge success , the 50/50 drawing will enable the foundation to purchase 200 helmets for kids to prevent head injuries.Thank you DJ Customs for sponsoring the the evening.Wake County roars back into action on May 25th with a Memorial Day tribute and a full card of racing.
