Day of Destruction Thrills Packed House at Southern National

LUCAMA, NC – Fans of all ages were thrilled by the action and excitement of the inaugural Accent Imaging Day of Destruction at Southern National Motorsports Park on Saturday night.
The Day of Destruction consisted of multiple different races and events on a modified course inside the confines of the Southern National Motorsports Park facility. A 10 lap Flagpole Race started off the evening’s action, instantly setting the tone for the carnage that would take place throughout the evening.
Race winners: Ryan Ramsey (Flagpole race), Nick Pope (Backwards race), John Jones (Grocery Bag race), Dustin Hayes (Truck tug of war), Wayne Goss (Tire stack race), Bill Rinaldo (Burnout competition), David Goins (Appliance race), Clay Jones (Enduro race), Andrew Christiansen (Compact demolition derby) and Joseph Davis (Full size demolition derby).
The Accent imaging Day of Destruction featured one of the largest crowds at Southern National Motorsports Park in recent years with over a thousand fans attending the event. Over 48 cars competed in the various events at the Day of Destruction.
Southern National Motorsports Park will return to action on Friday, November 24th with the opening night of the 17th Annual Solid Rock Carriers Thanksgiving Classic. The Thanksgiving Classic will run 12 divisions over the course of three days, headlined by the $20,000-to-win, 200-lap Late Model Stock Car race on Sunday, November 26th.
