Southern National Motorsports Park Champions Honored At Banquet

The finest stars and cars of the Nascar Whelen All American Series were honored Saturdaynight at the annual Southern National Motorsports banquet. The Bill Ellis BBQ Convention Center in Wilson,N.C. was the site of the gala event. Guest were greeted with a social hour, door prizes, trivia questions and a great dinner fit for Champions.
The 2015 Track Champions were awarded beautiful trophies in each division with Jonathan Findley and team taking home the Late Model Stock Car title. Michael O'Brien and team won the Charger division hardware with Will Bristle and his DSM team winning the Legends title. Tyler Horne and crew won the UCAR division title and your 2015 Bandolero champ was Josh Kossek and his team. The 2015 Rookie Of The Year award winners were Andrew Grady in LMSC, Mason Diaz in Legends, Camryn Rice in Bandos and John Ordiway in UCARS.
All Top Ten drivers in each division were awarded beautiful trophies or plaques if in attendance and had their moment on stage to thank Family, friends, car owners, sponsors and fans; finishing in 2nd place in the LMSC division Andrew Grady, Raleigh with Tyler Matthews, Rusty Daniels and Melvin Langley rounding out your top 5 in points. Paul Williamson was runner up to O'Brien in the Charger class followed by Tom Sauls, Alton Coombs and Nicholas Fulghum. The UCAR 2nd place man in points was Travis Miller from Jacksonville with Ronnie Jones, Joseph Pittman and James Stroud in positions third through fifth place. Mason Diaz capped off a great year finishing in second place in the Legends division with Chris Stancil, Dillon Spain, Clayton and Kade Lambert, Burlington, your top 5 point men. The Bandolero division saw Kailey Murray come home second in points followed by Dustin Yeoman, Ethan Johnson, Fuquay-Varina and Kade Lambert who ran 2 different classes this season. Congrats to all the competitors, drivers, car owners, sponsors and fans for making SNMP your Nascar Home Town Track, 2015 was a great season and 2016 even stronger! Special thanks go out to the hard working staff, making SNMP bigger and better, year after year!
