On lap 22 Bare closed in on Lipscombe and finally worked inside him for the lead as the two came to the white flag. Justin Williams would try both the inside and outside of David Williams on several occasions for the lead. On lap 15 Justin Williams looked like he was headed for the turn 3 wall backwards when he regained control of his car to stay in second. That allowed David Williams to pull away by about twelve car lengths. It took Justin Williams five laps to get back to the back bumper of David Williams. Justin Williams drove inside David Williams out of turn 4 several times only to come up inches short at the line. On lap 25 Justin Williams finally got by David Williams on lap 24 for the lead. The two would come across the finish line in a dead heat and Brann winning by .042 seconds. Rounding out the top five were Marshall, James Snead, Brett Adkins and Matt Ashworth.
