Spain Wins Budweiser Battle At The Bullring

The finest stars and cars of the region gathered at Wake County Speedway
Friday evening for a great night of short track action. A fantastic group of
hard chargers used last week's rain out to better prepare their machines for
the night of up close in your face racing entertainment plus car counts were
up in every class. Six divisions running 5 feature races had the fans on the
edge of the seats from hot laps through the last event of the evening.
Alex Fleming, Garner and Cory Walker, Fuquay-Varina waged a classic battle
during the Metal Depot Late Model feature with Fleming pulling out the win
when the checkered flag waved. This week's "Atta Boy" award goes to the
Southern Wake Automotive team of Walker and crew. This team has been
practicing during the off weeks, burning the midnight oil and gave the Green
Mafia team a run for the money. Fleming thanked his team and family from
victory lane as he picked up his 2nd win of the season and increased his
point lead. Angier driver Zack Marks roared under the stripe in 3rd place
followed by "Showtime" Sammy Pacitti and Joe Heigl in 4th and 5th place.
The Bandolero feature winner Blaise Brinkley, Sanford continues to impress
with another 2015 victory. The Sanford speedster turned back challenges from
Savannah Beasley and Garner's Lindsay Rifenburg to make the trip to victory
lane. Dustin Yeoman and Ethan Johnson rounded out the top 5 finishers.
Dillon Spain turned in a great performance in the 600 Inc. Legends feature.
The young gun from Clayton held off Jason Austin to grab another win at the
1/4 mile bullring. Kenneth Tripp, Jr., Justin Mitchell and Zack Brown came
home with 3rd, 4th and 5th place finishes in the wild action packed feature.
The Hocutt's Automotive Service and Tires UCAR/ 4 Cylinder combo feature
was action packed from the drop of the green flag. Track champion Justin
Fussell, Sanford had his Fussell Tire Fusion in the wind and was able to
hold off Raleigh's Jeremy Ottaway to score the victory. Jesse Duke, Raleigh,
Darrell Haynie, Raleigh and Lynn Waller rounded out the top 5 positions with
Darrell Haynie picking up the UCAR win. This division creates excitement and
these Wheelman and Women put on a whale of a show each time they hit the
Adrian Lassiter drove the Griswold Family Truckster into victory lane in
the Bomber division feature. Wake County Speedway roars back into action
this Friday evening, May 15, 2015. A huge racing card featuring the Metal
Depot Late Models, Chargers, the Hocutt's Automotive and Tires UCAR/ 4
Cylinders, 600 Inc. Legends and Bandoleros will once again thrill and
entertain, Grandstands open at 6:00 PM with fan friendly pricing; children
under 5 years of age free with a paying adult. Wake County Speedway has
