Southboston, Va --

South Boston Speedway has closed the curtain on the 2014 season, and champions have been named in each of the track’s divisions.

Last weekend, former NASCAR Whelen All American Series national champion Peyton Sellers locked up his second South Boston Speedway NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division championship with a whopping 61-point cushion over his closest competitor.

Sellers tallied five victories during his 2014 campaign to secure the crown over three-time winner Matt Bowling, who is also a former track champion at America’s Hometown Track.

Austin Thaxton scored one win this season and finished third in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division standings. He was 12 points ahead of two-time winner Josh Oakley.

Rounding out the top five in the final NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division standings was two-time defending NASCAR Whelen All American Series national champion Lee Pulliam, who claimed seven victories at the historic four-tenths mile oval this season.

Danny Willis Jr. locked up his second straight Limited Sportsman Division crown in 2014; however, he had a tight fight with J.D. Eversole.

Willis and Eversole each scored three wins in 2014 and the two wound up tied atop the point standings. Willis secured the title based on total number of runner-up finishes. Willis finished second three times during the season, while Eversole recorded two runner-up finishes.

Trey Crews, the early leader in the chase for the Limited Sportsman Division championship, motored to three wins this season and finished third in the standings. He was followed in the top five by Bob Davis in fourth place and Tommy Peregoy in the fifth position.

In the Budweiser Pure Stock Division, Greg Autry tallied six triumphs this season and claimed the championship by 28 points over one-time winner Bruce Mayo.

Johnny Layne was third in the Budweiser Pure Stock Division standings. He was 13 points behind Mayo and 12 points ahead of two-time winner Stuart Crews. Harrison Walker finished fifth in the standings. He was 12 points behind Crews.

Kevin Currin rolled to one victory in 2014 and secured the Hornets Division title over Austin Milam. Bobby Fleming, Kirstin Simmons and one-time winner Kenny Mills rounded out the top five in the final standings.

In the Modified Division ranks, Jimmy Humblet claimed a nine-point edge over Mike Rudy in the point standings to lock up the track title. Humblet and Rudy each claimed two wins this season.

Joe Scarborough, Chris Johnson and Mike Johnson rounded out the top five competitors in the Modified Division standings.
