Lucama, NC -- For the third time in the 2014 season, Mother Nature has been declared the winner at Southern National Motorsports Park.
With forecasts calling for at least an 80% chance of rain Saturday night, track management decided to call the race early.
"We want to cancel this as early as possible to save the teams, and fans, the cost of coming out to the track and waiting out the weather," said track owner Michael Diaz. "If we can give people enough warning to make alternate plans, we prefer to do so."
Track management is currently working on rescheduling the event. An announcement will be made in the coming days.
