(Newton, NC - June 4, 2014) Hickory Motor Speedway, Sam's Club, Throwdown Jones and TNT have partnered to present an event filled with short-track racing action, live music and racing legends, all in benefit of the Children's Miracle Network.
Schedule to take place on Saturday, June 7, Children's Miracle Network Night at the Races presented by Sam's Club will feature the NASCAR Whelen-All American Series with appearances by the Bojangles' Late Models, Gold King Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Super Trucks and the 4-Cylinders. The night will conclude with a live concert with TNT followed by Throwdown Jones.
Throwdown Jones is one of the fastest-growing Rock N' Roll Party/Cover/Original Bands in Western North Carolina. Hailing from Morganton, NC and originally formed under the name Acoustafix, the band continues to thrive today, performing at large outdoor festivals, bike rallies and continuously packing out clubs all across Western North Carolina.
The evening will also include a pre-race autograph session with Hickory Motor Speedway legends Harry Gant, Bobby Allison and Ned Jarrett.
Five dollars of every ticket purchased for the event will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network and these donations will be used locally for the Children's Miracle Network , an organization created in 1983 that raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it's needed the most. Donations go to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Grandstands for Children's Miracle Network Night at Races presented by Sam's Club are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. ET, with qualifying immediately following. The Hickory Motor Speedway Legends autograph session taking place from 6 to 7 and feature racing action will follow. The night will conclude with a live concert with TNT followed by Throwdown Jones.
Tickets are only $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and teens and children 12 and under will receive free admission.
