Clay Jones Romps To Victory In Metal Depot Twins At Wake County Speedway

Hard charging Clay Jones, Wilson turned back all challengers Friday night at Wake County Speedway winning both of the 30 lap feature events for the Metal Depot Late Models. Jones started from the pole in his Pro- Coating hotrod and held off Thomas Chappell to secure the victory. Jones thanked his hard working crew from victory lane for preparing a rocketship for him to pilot. Apex driver, Corey Walker and his Southern Automotive Services machine roared under the checkered flag in 3rd place followed by Bobby Gower and Jerry Burns rounding out the top 5 finishers. The night was action packed with over 20 Late Models battling door to door,beating and banging at America's favorite bullring!
The Pepsi Kick Start Mini Mayhem 4 Cylinder/ UCAR Combo event keep the fans on their feet with Justin Fussell grabbing his 1st 2014 trip to victory lane. Fussell had Jeremy Ottaway, Raleigh, Jesse Duke,Knightdale, Joey Morgan and Les Fenton, Willow Spring all chasing the speedster in the Mini Mayhem 25 lap feature.
Patrick Arch grabbed his 2nd victory of the season in the UCAR feature holding off Chris Gault, Duane Godwin, Kristin Gault and Strickland.Arch thanked his fans, family and crew from victory lane
Young Gun Dillon Spain added another trip to victory lane in the 25 lap Legends feature. Spain worked his way through the field after starting fourth in the action packed feature. Billy Hall, Kenneth Tripp, Jr., Justin Mitchell and Jason Austin were your top 5 finishers.
Kade Lambert visited victory lane in his Bandolero to add another Wake County Speedway victory to his young resume. Bradley Wilson roared under the stripe in 2nd place followed by Ethan Johnson, Henry Broadbent and Zandry Broadbent.
Clay Jones made his way to victory lane for the 2nd time in the nightcap Late Model Depot 30 lap feature holding off Knightdale's Bradley McCaskill for the win. Corey Walker continued his fine evening with another 3rd place finish. Bobby Gower and Thomas Chappell rounded out the top five finishers.
The Bomber class put on a great show with Vernon and Adrian Lassiter battling wheel to wheel in a 10 lap shootout!
