Virginia Motor Speedway Returns to Action this Saturday Night August 10th with Twin Races for all Divisions

Jamaica, VA – Bill Sawyer’s
Virginia Motor Speedway returns to racing this Saturday August 10 to host week nine
of Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series action.
The evenings events will include four divisions of
exciting high octane, side by side dirt track racing. See the Victory Lap Late
Model / Fastrak Pro Late Models, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified
and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions in action. All divisions will
compete in a “Twin Race” format.
With only four weeks left in the 2013 season this week’s
events will play a pivotal role in who will have a chance to win the division
crowns as well as the Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series Championship.
Currently leading the points are Justin Williams in the
Victory Lap Late Models; Brett Adkins in the Truckin Thunder Sportsman; rookie
Matt Quade in the Budweiser Modifieds and Wesley Givens in the Collision One
Limited Stock Car division.
Competitor gates for Saturday, August 10th will
open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin
at 6:30pm with hot laps.
Divisions scheduled to race: Victory Lap Late Models /
Fastrak Pro Late Models (Twin 20 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (Twin 15 Laps);
Truckin Thunder Sportsman (Twin 15 laps) and the Collision One Limited Stock
Cars (Twin 12 laps). All divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and twin Features.
Admission price for Adults $12, seniors (60+) $10;
military (active/retired w/ proper I.D.) $8, students 13 – 17 years old
$6, children 7 to 12 $4 and children 6 and under admitted free. We offer a
family pass for $25 (two adults and two children 12 and under). Pit passes will

Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track, is a ½ mile dirt oval track is
located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda,
VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock,
VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a

Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.
