Pulliam Makes it Two Out Of Three At SBS

Va…..Defending NASCAR Whelen All American Series National Champion Lee Pulliam
fended off a late bid from Philip Morris on the final restart with 11 laps to go
and won Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen Late Model 150 at South Boston
the lead for the final time in the race on lap 91. Outside pole starter C.E.
Falk, III of Virginia Beach, Va. took the lead from Pulliam on lap 88, right
after the restart that followed the race’s fourth caution period of the day.
Pulliam regained the lead when the engine in Falk’s car suddenly went sour two
laps later, and held off Morris in the final 11-lap dash to the
margin of victory over Morris, the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All American Series
National Champion, was .611-second.

first lap and led the rest of the way to win Saturday’s 50-lap NASCAR Limited
Sportsman Division race.

of South Boston, Va. in a three-lap green-flag dash to the finish that followed

2013 season off to a good start by winning the 50-lap Modified race, the first
race of the season for the division at South Boston Speedway.

and visit with the Easter Bunny prior to the start of the afternoon’s first

8 a.m. Practice will go from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon. Grandstand gates will
open at 12 noon. Qualifying time trials will start at 12:45 p.m. and the first
race will start at 2 p.m.
Adult general admission tickets are $10 each. Kids six years of age
and under will be admitted free with a paying adult.
