MacDonald Motorsports signs Jordan Anderson for NASCAR K&N East series race

Mooresville, Nc. --

(March 21, 2013) – They say timing is everything - even if it's late at night.  Jordan Anderson, from Forest Acres, South Carolina,  got an unexpected phone call in the midnight hours on Tuesday from NASCAR K&N East series team owner Randy MacDonald. The seasoned car owner has known Anderson for years and had a purpose for the late night call.

Anderson, fresh off a 5th place finish in the Pro All Star Series race at Myrtle Beach Speedway this past weekend in a Super Late Model caught the eye of MacDonald. That, combined with Anderson's 16 wins on both ovals and road courses last year, was enough for MacDonald to give the young driver a call about driving the team's #49 entry at the famed Greenville Pickens Speedway in Anderson's home state of South Carolina. Both MacDonald and Anderson are bold in their faith with God and were quick to point out the many affirmations provided.

MacDonald and Anderson have been good friends - but this will be their first opportunity to work together. "I've gotten to know Jordan over the past couple years and have really taken notice of his work ethic and passion for the sport. The success he had on track last year was phenomenal, and I just really feel that he can deliver us a great finish this weekend" said MacDonald. "He does a great job marketing himself, and knows what it takes to get to the racetrack. He understands the business of the sport, as well as the mechanics of the car and delivers when it comes to finishes."

The start for Anderson will be his debut in the NASCAR K&N series and will be his first visit to the track. "I'm really honored by the faith that was shown and opportunity that Randy and his team have given me to drive their car this weekend" said Anderson. "I've always worked hard - both in the race shop and boardroom - to make things happen for my racing career. To have last weekend come together on the late model program with Darlington Raceway and Coulter Motorsports, and now this - it's been amazing to see the blessings that come as a result of the late hours and dedication that have been given to the sport that I love so much. For my first NASCAR K&N series race to come in my home state makes in even more special."

Anderson, who is a current senior at Belmont Abbey College studying Business Management, will look to bring home a strong finish in his #49 MacDonald Motorsports Toyota Camry at the Greenville Pickens Speedway in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 presented by G-Clean on Saturday, March 23.
