SOUTH BOSTON, VA. --
Mother Nature did not cooperate earlier this year when the PASS Super Late Model Series was scheduled to visit historic South Boston Speedway; however, all sights are now set on a June 9 appearance for the series.
The PASS Super Late Model Series will invade South Boston Speedway on Saturday June 9 for the running of the PASS Super Late Model 150 racing program.
With two wins thus far this season, Kyle Grissom currently leads the PASS Super Late Model South Division standings. Grissom is followed in the runner-up spot by Brandon Ward, who has one victory for the season. One-time winner Ross Kenseth, son of 2012 Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth, is third in the standings and is followed in the fourth position by Jay Fogleman.
In addition to the 150-lap tussle for the touring PASS Super Late Model Series, America’s Hometown Track will also host a pair of 75-lap races for the drivers in the highly competitive NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division on June 9.
Peyton Sellers will enter action on June 9 with a two-race win streak. The former South Boston Speedway and NASCAR Whelen All American Series national champion swept a pair of twin races last weekend on the four-tenths mile asphalt oval.
The first race of the night on June 9 will get the green flag at 7 p.m. Also featured as part of the evening will be a race for the MAD (Modified Affordable Division) Modifieds.
The PASS Super Late Model Series is also scheduled to visit South Boston Speedway this season on Aug. 18.
Advance tickets for the June 9 event are currently on sale and priced at $10 each. Advance tickets can be purchased through Friday, June 8, at the speedway office.
Tickets on race day will be priced at $15 each. Youth will be admitted for $5 when accompanied by a paying adult.
