Wallace Continues Where He Left Off At Last Season In Victory Lane Defending His Track Championship Title At Caraway Speedway

Sophia, NC -- Reedy Creek’s Jimmy Wallace had a stellar season last year capturing his second consecutive Track Championship Title. Saturday Night in the 50 Lap Late Model Super Truck feature he continued his streak and returned to victory lane and points leaders. Silver Valley’s Gene Kepley brought home a strong second place finish. Clemmons’ Jeff Garrison, Greensboro’s Brandin Wrisley and Archdale’s Nick Freeman rounded out the top five finishers.

In the 30 Lap Lowder Construction Sportsman event Kenny Bost continued his streak by capturing his second consecutive win of the season. Bobby Reed, Chase Hunt, Rudy Ruddock and Kirk Sheets rounded out the top five finishers. Ruddock protested team mates Bost and Hunt after the win but both were declared legal.

In the 20 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler U-Car event Ben Hanks of Lexington got redemption after taking the
checkered flag. Last week he was disqualified for being too light. Brad Martin of Lexington, Brandon Lucas of Ashboro, Justin Hicks of Asheboro and Thomas McCoy of Asheboro rounded out the top five finishers.

In the 20 Lap Bib’s Downtown Mini Stock event Michael Wells took home his second win of the season and after a thorough inspection of his engine remained the winner. Andrew Sanders of Mocksville, Michael Kitchin of High Point, John Davis of Lexington and Johnny Baker of Asheboro rounded out the top five finishers.

In the 40 Lap Street Stock event Lexington’s Danny Brewer captured the win and also went through a lengthy inspection of his engine. Allen Vance of Asheboro, Michael Worthington of High Point, Randy Clark of Archdale and Jimmy Cooper of Asheboro rounded out the top five finishers.

In the 25 Lap Legends event Keven Wood captured his second win of the season. Kaz Grala won the Young Lions division. Adam Burton won the Semi-Pro division and Jan Ingram of Asheboro won the Masters Division.

In the 15 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler Hornets event Lexington’s Gary Dillard was declared the winner after Perry Hanes was disqualified. Allen Gauldin of Asheboro, Justin Smith of Asheboro, Kyler Owens of Lexington and Chris Redwine of Asheboro rounded out the top five finishers.

Coming up Saturday Night the Whelen Southern Modified Tour returns for 150 Laps of action at the .455 mile asphalt oval. Also competing are 100 Lap Late Model Stock, 30 Lap BK Auto Limited Late Model, 25 Lap Legends, 25 Lap Street Stock, 15 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler U-Cars and 10 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler Hornets. Grandstands open at 5pm, On Track Autograph session at 6:15 and green flag at 7pm. Trackside Parking gate opens at 12pm. Adult Admission $20 each kids 7-14 years $5 each and 6 and under free.
