For Immediate Release:
Remembering The Rock:
Making his first start at Rockingham Speedway last November for the season-ending UARA-STARS event, Rookie Cory Joyce will use that experience to kick start this weekend's UARA-STARS 75 event. In his only start at The Rock, Joyce impressed the UARA competitors in his first start at a track one mile in length, qualifying 12th
and charging up to sixth place when the checkered flag dropped.
"Rockingham is pretty slick and fast, definitely not your local short-track type of racing. It was a lot of fun to drive in the fall and our car was really fast, but I need to work on my restarts since that was our biggest challenge," Joyce recalled.
Following an early accident at Dillon Motor Speedway last weekend, Joyce and his team have worked overtime this week to repair damage to the No. 20 LandAirSea Chevy Impala. Crew Chief Andy Loden will return to the lead role on Saturday as well, and the team is planning to run a similar setup that they found success with in their last outing at Rockingham.
"We haven't had the best luck in the last two races and we had a lot of work to do to fix the car after Dillon, but hopefully we can come back as fast as we were in November, qualify up front and stay away from the trouble."
First practice for the UARA-STARS drivers will run from 10-11:20 am EST Friday morning, with final practice on Friday afternoon before Saturday morning's qualifying session at 10:05 am. The 75-lap main event will begin at 2:00 PM EST on Saturday afternoon. You can follow Cory in real time Saturday onCoryJoyce.com

I love to do these events that benefit the animals, and you can help us help the animals that really need and deserve some love," Joyce said.
A Look Back at Dillon: A fierce battle early on in the UARA Eggs-traordinary 150 at Dillon Motor Speedway and a short-track tangle that soon followed in front of rookie contender Cory Joyce left him with an early exit from Saturday night's shootout. After wrestling a loose LandAirSea Impala through qualifying, Joyce began the 150 lapper from the tail of the field. A multi-car incident in turn three just 22 laps into the event collected Joyce after he lost communications with his spotter. With no guidance and unable to see through the smoke, he suffered terminal damage to the front of the No. 20 LandAirSea Chevrolet and finished the night in the garage.
