NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Langley Speedway
Already a familiar name in local racing circles, Crossroads Fuel Service will become even more prominent in 2006 as it teams with area Sunoco dealers to sponsor Langley Speedway’s top-flight Late Models, the track’s NASCAR-sanctioned feature division.
The company dates back to 1960 when John W. Keffer partnered with Merlin Miller to form Miller & Keffer Oil Company. In 1967, Keffer bought out Miller’s share of the firm and renamed it Crossroads Fuel Service.
Despite extreme challenges in the petroleum industry over the years, Crossroads Fuel Service continued to grow and prosper under the leadership of Keffer and his family.
Today, Lynn Keffer is the company president, while his sister, Marilyn Keffer, serves as the secretary/treasurer. Their brother, Dale Keffer, is also a shareholder.
Crossroads Fuel Service maintains office and storage facilities in Chesapeake, Va., Franklin, Va., Hertford, N.C., Sunbury, N.C., and Columbia, N.C. With its fleet of 40 trucks, the company sells and delivers 25 million gallons of petroleum products annually.
The Crossroads Fuel Service/Sunoco Dealers Late Models will hit the track for the first time on Saturday, April 8 — Opening Night ‘06 at Langley Speedway.
