The Sixth Annual "Day of Destruction"
at Langley Speedway - Hampton, VA
(Oct. 28) -- Faced with a less-than-favorable weather forecast for Saturday, Langley Speedway has announced a one-day postponement of the Sixth Annual "Day of Destruction." The track's season-ending program has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30. Front gates and pit gates open at 11 a.m. and the competition gets under way at 1 p.m.
Sunday's feature slate includes: a 50-lap Enduro Race, a Reverse Race, a Flag Pole Race, a Bag Race, a Train Race, an Appliance Race, a Tug of War competition, a Burnout contest and a pair of Demolition Derbies -- one for domestic cars and the other for imports.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youths, 6-12. "Little Race Fans" (under 6) are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Military personnel (active-duty or retired) and seniors (60+) receive a $2 discount off the regular adult ticket price. Family Packs, which include two adult and two youth tickets, are $25 -- a savings of $5.
