North Super Late Models, Mods and Sportsman are all on track Tuesday July 12th when the touring teams invade Lee (NH) USA Speedway for their annual trip to the immaculate Route 125 oval.
The PASS Sportsman series hasn't been on track since the PASS season opener several months back, and the traveling racers are looking forward to challenging a host of Lee regulars that always make an appearance when PASS comes to town. Shane Tatro, Carey Martin and Clyde Hennessy are the top three in the standings, and you can expect all the point chasers to be on hand. 75 green flag laps is a challenge that most every weekly racer looks forward to, so expect a strong field for this one.
Lee USA is race five for the PASS Mods, and the question is, who can beat Andy Shaw? The defending series champion is batting a thousand and he has visited victory lane twice at Lee in years past. Alan Wilson is doing his best to keep the point leader in his sights and you can be sure the talented veteran will be right there if Shaw waivers.
The PASS Bastille 200 continues to be one of the season highlights for fans of the fastest full fender cars and stars in the northeast. 200 green flag laps and an optional pit stop add another element of excitement and strategy will no doubt play a role once again, just as it did when Mike Rowe chased down Johnny Clark in the closing laps to claim last year's edition.
Quebec racer Alex Gingras has impressed this season, leading laps and collecting two top five and four top ten finishes in the first six events Gingras is third in the standings and. Lee would be an appropriate place for Gingras to break into PASS victory lane. The Bastille 200 recognizes the French national holiday Bastille Day, celebrated each year on July 14 by French and French Canadian citizens alike.
Pre entries for Tuesday night's throw down include point leader Johnny Clark, Ben Rowe, Beech Ridge first time winner Lonnie Sommerville, Mike Rowe, Scott Alexander, Austin Brehio,Travis Benjamin, Kyle DeSouza and Scott Dragon. Scott Chubbuck, Matt Frahm Matt Matheson, Derek Ramstrom and Donnie Whitten have filed pre entries and there's a host of non point racers that are expected to take on the Pro All Stars when race day arrives.
The spectator gates swing open at 4:00 PM and practice runs from 4:00 PM until 6:15 PM. Heat races roll off at 6:30 PM and the first feature of the night is slated for 7:00 PM. The small block supers and the North East Mini Stock Tour complete the five division card.
