Photo Finish In Late Model Stock Event At Caraway Speedway

(Asheboro, NC): $5 Fan Spectacular Night definitely gave the fans some of the best racing in the history of the speedway. BJ Macky of Rock Hill, SC and Robert Tyler of Atlanta, GA, put on a standing ovation finish as the two battled side by side for a three lap shoot out. After a review of the timing scoring computer BJ Mackey went to victory lane. The fans were on their feet as the duo took the checkered. “That was one hell of a race!” commented Mackey. Tyler was disappointed not to have the win but still happy to have run that well.
Mackey won both 50 lap Late Model Stock events and Tyler finished second in both. Brad Brinkley of Sanford, Dan Moore of Bear Creek and Jimmy Wallace of Lexington rounded out the top five finishers for the first event. In the second event Ryan Wilson of Randleman, Moore and Brinkley rounded out the top five.
In the 30 Lap BK Auto Limited Late Model event Josh Lowder of Randleman took home the checkered flag and after technical inspection of his cam kept his win. Junior Kendrick of Thomasville, Noah Triplett of Lexington, Carl Auman of High Point and Justin Newlin of Clemmons rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 20 Lap Bibs Downtown Mini Stock event Andrew Sanders of Mocksville continued his victory lane streak of three in a row. AJ Sanders of Mocksville, Michael Kitchin of Archdale, John Davis of Lexington and Jeff Duncan of Thomasville rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 25 Lap A Plus Auto Sales Street Stock event Gary Ledbetter of Lexington took home the win. Michael Worthington of High Point, Bobby Grimes of High Point, Jamie Ruddock of High Point and Larry Isenhower of Greensboro rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 20 Lap Full Throttle Super Mini Truck event Ray Chriscoe of Randleman took home the win. Glenn Chriscoe Jr of Randleman, David Wenhart of Randleman, David Houck of Lexinton and Joe McDonald of Thomasville rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 25 lap Lexington Chiropractic & Wellness Legends event Austin Thompson captured his first win of the season. Dillon Spain, Jake Cole, Jan Ingram and Austin Osborne rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 10 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler U-Cars Jimmy Cooper of Asheboro took home the win. Ben Hanks of Trinity, Allen Vance of Asheboro, Tommy Williams of Randleman and Perry Hanes of Mocksville rounded out the top five finishers.
The next event at the speedway will be June 18th featuring a 100 lap Nascar Late Model Stock event, BK Auto Limited Late Model, Lexington Chiropractic & Wellness Legends, Bibs Downtown Mini Stocks, Full Throttle Super Mini Truck, A Plus Auto Sales Street Stock and Auto & Metal Recycler U-Cars. Grandstands open at 5pm. Racing action begins at 7pm.
