For Immediate Release – 5/24/11
(Asheboro, NC): Round two of five Super Five Series event proved to be quite the event as Davin Scites of Wayne, West Virginia pulled double duty by competing at his home track in Virginia on Saturday and Caraway on Sunday. He and his team worked all night to get his car race ready after enduring technical inspection from his home track. Stakes were high as he competed for a five for five record which would give him a total prize winning of $50,000. In the end Scites ended up finishing 5th ending his chance at a $25,000 bonus but not ending his chance at winning two more for a $5,000 bonus.
BJ Macky of Rock Hill, SC was flagged the winner, followed by Matt McCall of Denver and Ryan Wilson of Randleman. In post race inspection the intakes were found not to conform to the Nascar Rule Book for Late Model Stocks. The intakes were taken by Lynn Carroll (Director of Weekly Racing) to the R&D Center for further evaluation. Nascar looked at all three intakes and agreed with the decision of the Track Officials that the parts did not conform to the Nascar Rule Book.

Brad Brinkley of Sanford, Robert Tyler of Atlanta, GA, Mack Little III of Kernersville, Scites, Dan Moore of Bear Creek, Gene Kepley of Lexington, Scott Wise of Benson, Jimmy Wallace of Lexington and Randy Burnett of Concord rounded out the top ten finishers.
