The win was the fourth in a row for the former NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Champion, who also captured his third straight pole position in qualifying.

Two-time defending South Boston Speedway NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car Division Champion Justin Johnson of Durham, N.C. finished second, edging Josh Oakley of Rougemont, N.C. for the spot. He trailed Morris by 2.488 seconds at the finish.
