In the inaugural Camping World Truck Series event at the ‘Tricky Triangle,” Peters earned his 10th Top-10 finish of the season and remains a strong contender for the 2010 Championship.
LONG POND, PENN. (July 31)- Timothy Peters and the #17 Red Horse Racing team looked forward to hitting the Pocono Raceway for the first time. He qualified his #17 Wiss Toyota Tundra in the 13th spot and prepared for a quick 50-lap dash to the checkered flag. Right from the first lap, the Pocono Mountains 125 was action packed. Peters was involved in some contact on lap one and pitted early to check for right front fender damage. Easily fixed, he headed back out and quickly worked his way back up to his starting position. Peters broke inside the top-10 half-way through the race and continued to charge forward. Racing three and four wide at times, Peters held his own until the checkered flag waved. He captured an eighth place finish, marking his third top-10 in a row and his 10th of the season in only 13 events.
