Rougemont,N.C. --

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

After a week off for the Pro All Star Series Southern Sizzler 150, the stars of Orange County Speedway return this Saturday night for the Firecracker 262. The July 3 racing will feature the Orange County Speedway Late Model Stock Cars, as well as Limited Sportsman, Grand Stock, Modifieds, Pure stocks, Legends and Bandoleros.

Current point leader and winner of the June 19 event, Craig Moore, will look to fend off championship contenders Joey Mahanes and Terry Dease for 100 laps around the 3/8 mile, high-banked speedway. In Limited Sportsman, Timmy Ferrell took home the win during the Southern Sizzler and looks to continue his winning ways against championship contenders Justin Newlin and Brian Cole.

If the night’s racing wasn’t enough, after the racing concludes fans will be treated to a special Fourth of July fireworks display. Tickets for the night’s event are just $15 for adults, $10 for students 11-17, with kids 10 and under free. All University faculty, staff and students, as well as Seniors (65+), Military and Mariah Parham employees are just $10 with a valid ID. For more information call the track office at (336) 364-1222 or race to www.ocstrack.com.
