Asheboro, NC --

June 14, 2010

Mack Little of Kernersville, often referred to as “Spudman” by his fans, continues to dominate the Nascar Sportsman victory lane at Caraway Speedway. Little captured the wins in both 30 lap feature events. Dustyn Triplett of Lexington, Wayne Hill of Winstons Salem, Kirk Sheets of Walkertown and Matt Hill of Winston Salem rounded out the top five finishers.

In the 35 Lap Late Model Super Truck event Jimmy Wallace of Lexington adjusted well to the new Goodyear treaded tire by capturing the win. Coy Beard of Lexington and Danny Willard of Winston Salem rounded out the top three finishers.

In the 20 Lap Mini Stock event AJ Sanders of Mocksville took home the win. John Davis of Lexington, Steven Sanders of Lexington, Michael Kitchin of Archdale and Archie Sanders of Mocksville rounded out the top five finishers.

In the 25 Lap Street Stock event Michael Worthington took home the win.

In the 25 lap Legends event former track champion Daniel Hemric took home the win. Dennis Lamber, Bayley Currey, Sean Shalvoy and Luke Demis rounded out the top five finishers.

Saturday’s event were re-scheduled due to the heavy rains and lightning. It will be this Saturday night June 19th.

Caraway Speedway made some major changes last week by switching tire brands to Goodyears. Several of the top five in points have tested on the new tire and have given it rave results.

Current track points leader Travis Swaim of High Point was pleased with his test session last week. Dan Moore of Bear Creek was extremely excited about his test session , stating “My car handles the best it has all season. I think this change is a good one.”

“The Goodyear tire appears to have the same speeds, if not better than the Hoosiers, and from what I have been told will actually hold up better on long races. There was not a whole lot of change, as far as set up goes, between the two. I think it will make for some good competitive racing.” Stated Ryan Wilson of Randleman after his test session.

The debut for the Goodyear tire is Saturday Night June 19th in the 150 lap Nascar Whelen All American Series Late Model Stock feature. It should be an excited race as all the driver’s adjust to the new tire.

Also competing will be the Limited Late Models, a special 40 lap event for the Custom Steel Fabricators Super Mini Trucks, U-Cars, andPure Stocks. Grandstands open at 6pm and the racing gets way under the lights at 8pm.

The Firecracker Special will be on Friday July 2nd featuring a 150 Lap Nascar Whelen Southern Modified Tour and a 150 Lap for the Late Model Stocks. There will also be a huge fireworks display in celebration of the holiday. On Wednesday July 7th the Daggett Shuler Attorney’s At Law Rusty Harpe Memorial will feature a 200 Lap Late Model Stock spectacular. Grandstands will open at 6pm and the race gets under way at 8pm.
